Under the leadership of Param Pujya Shri Muppin Swamiji Maharaj, 48th Mathadhipati the Matha saw many changes. He continued the spiritual traditions with utmost sincerity but at the same time, he also began to expand the social works of the Matha. He initiated social inclusion and abandoned the practices of untouchability and sectarian constraints. Under his leadership a school was opened for poor children and an old age home was also built. In fact, he opened the doors of the Matha for all.
